Definitely not the equivalent of a full size cam. The 430 lines of resolution are ok in average light or brighter. I knew the specs before I purchased, but still disappointed by the bulkiness. Also, somewhat difficult for it to stay adjusted in the supplied bracket. If you understand the limitations, this will work ok.
Grab one and see what you've been missing. They have a nice picture, great little mounting bracket, and come with the neccessary power adaptor and an awesome 30 foot extension cable. I have just bought two more of these cameras. They are fantastic for the money. They can shoot through a very small hole and plug right into a vcr.
